Carlton Hall

Carlton Hall Residential Village is situated in the village of Carlton Colville, on the edge of Lowestoft in Suffolk.

The Village is made up of a variety of accommodation choices, set in the beautiful and well maintained grounds of the 18th Century Carlton Hall. All of our residents are invited to participate in a wide range of daily activities and annual events which are well attended by the local community.

Our aim is to give our residents the opportunity to improve their quality of life by providing a safe, happy, caring and comfortable family home.

The Hall is located centrally in the Village grounds with ample parking facilities.

The Granary & Bakehouse

The original Granary and Bakehouse, adjacent to The Hall, have been fully restored and converted into 15 luxury, ensuite bedrooms with outdoor courtyards and patio areas.

Fully accessible to wheelchair users, the Granary provides upstairs areas offering beautiful views over the grounds.

The Bungalows

The Village is set in 10 acres of grounds which now encompasses our sheltered, individually owned bungalows.

All of our services and meal facilities are available to our bungalow residents if desired, offering scalable care and support, tailored to our resident’s needs.

The Directors and Management of Carlton Hall are very disappointed and upset by our latest CQC inspection and overall rating.

Our continued aim at Carlton Hall Residential Home is always to improve the lives and experiences of our valued residents. Since our previous inspection we appointed a new home manager, substantially increased staff levels, activities and made numerous improvements to the premises and grounds and we feel that we have created an excellent home for our residents and have a caring staff team we are proud of. We have also had great feedback from our residents and families and we would encourage anyone interested in receiving care at Carlton Hall or looking on behalf of a relative, to come and visit us for themselves and we would be happy to show them what we can offer at Carlton Hall

We would like to assure all our residents and their families that we take this latest CQC report very seriously. We acknowledge that our care plan methods are outdated by the current CQC standards and that this has therefore affected our rating in every category. Since their visit we have invested in the latest electronic care plan system and a new audit system. We have also appointed an additional management post, a new Care Manager to focus primarily on residents’ care and documentation. These will be fully operational by 1st August 2018 and with staff training already undertaken and ongoing, we are sure that these will enable us to meet the high CQC standards we are aiming for.
